Museum curator Stuart Orme leads a 90-minute guided walk around historic St Ives at 7pm to explore life in the 1600s, Civil War stories, and Cromwell's connections to the town. The event includes captioning for hearing impairments and proceeds regardless of weather.

Join us for an evening walk around historic St Ives to explore what it was like in the 1600s when Oliver Cromwell was resident! Location: Meet at Oliver Cromwell's statue, Market Hill, St Ives. Join the Museum’s curator Stuart Orme for an entertaining and informative guided walk around St Ives, to find out more about what life was like here in Cromwell’s time and his connections to the town. The walk includes stories from the Civil War, the great fire of St Ives, the town's market - and the curious story behind Cromwell's statue. This tour starts at 7pm beside Cromwell's statue on the main square. It will last about 90 minutes and goes ahead whatever the weather. This tour also has captioning available for those with hearing impairments. In association with Cambridgeshire Deaf Association.
