Engineering Group 2027 Annual Conference The Engineering Group of the Geological Society will host its 2027 Annual Conference between Thursday 1st April (Conference 6.00pm, CPD 10.00am) and Saturday 3rd April 2027 (17.00pm), with an optional full day field trip to the Norfolk Breckland on Sunday 4th April, at Christ’s College Cambridge. The 2027 Engineering Group Annual Conference will focus on the key themes of Advancements in Engineering Geology - Ground Investigation, Digital Innovation, Ground Modelling and will bring together practitioners and academics from our industry. Sessions will focus on state-of-the-art approaches in engineering geology including aspects of groundwater in engineering geology, advanced desk study, earthworks and routes to CGeol. This training session will be of benefit to both applied geoscience students and Early Career professionals alike. The CPD training can be booked during registration for an additional £85 onto the ticket price (with includes lunch and refreshments). Field Trip The Conference will run an optional full day field trip on the Sunday and will visit the Norfolk Breckland. The return coach trip to Cambridge will drop off at either Southend or Colchester train stations for any onward travel The trip can be booked as part of the conference package with the option of Saturday night B & B, and an in-college dinner in the evening. The trip and will include a packed lunch. Tickets can be purchased during registration for an additional £200 for the Saturday night room, dinner and breakfast or £95 for the Sunday trip without extra accommodation or meal. Both registrations will include a packed lunch.
