High Wood Sixth Form Open Evening

Welcome to High Wood Sixth Form! We hope you can join us for our Open Evening. We are excited to announce our open evening event for High Wood School Sixth Form on Wednesday 18th November 2026 from 5:30pm to 8:00pm. High Wood School is an all-through school in Great Dunmow, Essex. Previously known as Helena Romanes School, we are launching a new school name to coincide with the year that we move into our brand new state-of-the-art school building, also in Great Dunmow. Come to our open evening to learn more about these exciting changes happening for our community and also to meet the subject teachers, hear from Sixth Form leaders and talk to our students. During the evening there will be opportunities to: • Tour our existing school facilities and learn more about our new building and new Sixth Form centre, due for completion in Feb 2028. • Meet subject teachers and learn more about A-level and vocational courses that we offer. • Hear a talk from the Director of Sixth Form about what life is like in the Sixth Form and to learn about our application process and enrichment and careers/PSHE programmes. • Meet our students, who act as ambassadors, for our friendly and inclusive Sixth Form. Please use eventbrite to secure a place at the event. Booking is essential for the talks.
