Take action for Nature and help us to clean the rubbish and plastic pollution from the Nature Reserve During the Marine Conservation Society 'Great British Beach Clean' citizen science week, take action for nature and help us clean up the rubbish and plastic pollution from the Nature Reserve. We will walk up towards the coastline on and off the main path looking for large and small pieces of rubbish including Micro plastics. At the end we will layout what we have collected and fill in a questionnaire to submit to the MCS adding our findings to National data on plastic in our oceans celebrate the wildlife we are helping by discussing the signs of nature we have seen on the walk. All equipment, litter pickers, gloves and bags will be provided. Suitable for children aged 4 to 11 years who must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Location: Meet at the outdoor seating area next to the Discovery Centre at Rye Harbour Discovery Centre, Rye Harbour, TN31 7FW Public transport: How to find us | Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. The 313 Stagecoach bus travels from Northiam to Rye train station and on to Rye Harbour village. Booking essential: We’ll send further joining instructions after booking . What to bring/wear: Please wear suitable outdoor clothing/footwear, and sun protection, for the weather conditions. Price doesn’t include refreshments, so bring a drink & snack, or Lime Kiln café at the Centre will be open from 9.30am to 4.30pm for refreshments and lunch. Accessibility: We will use accessible paths on the reserve and into the education room. Our toilet facilities will be available, if needed, at the beginning and end of your session.
