In Town Tonight - music about London, New York and Glasgow.

A colourful selection of tuneful pieces presenting musical pictures, and a lively bass trombone solo. A colourful selection of tuneful pieces about New York (from popular film music writer Nigel Hess), Glasgow and London (Theatreland by Jack Strachey, Handel in the Strand by Percy Grainger). Rounded off by Eric Coates’s London Suite - featuring Covent Garden including Cherry Ripe, Westminster with the chimes, and Knightsbridge March, with the famous theme tune from In Town Tonight. Add to that Bass Trombone soloist Edward Cooper playing the lively Capriccio by Steve Verhelst and it should be an evening of musical images with plenty of good tunes to whistle on the way home.
