Join local author Laura Adkins as she returns to Southend Libraries to presents her latest book exploring the life and times of Richar Rich. Blogger and historian Laura Adkins returns to The Forum following a successful appearance promoting her debut book, Kateryn Parr: Henry VIII's Sixth Queen. She will present her latest book on Richard Rich, exploring the compelling life and times of one of Tudor England's most controversial figures, alongside insights into her research and writing process. This event will comprise a talk, Q&A and book signing. Cash payment (£ 20) and card accepted. The Book The Author Ever since being inspired by her history teacher in secondary school and the 1997 movie Titanic, Laura has had a passion for history, especially medieval and Tudor eras. She is a blogger and historian, who is local to Southend, and has an interest in local history as well. Her first book, Kateryn Parr, Henry VIIIs Sixth Queen was published in 2024. Edward VIs Lord Chancellor Richard Rich was published in June of this year.
