Join us in the studio for pro class with Faith. Margate Professional Class with Faith A little bit from Faith about her class: My class will contains focus on creating openness and flow whilst connecting to moving through space with a sense of musicality. The class will dive into the sense of interconnectedness of the entire structure through layers of fascia in the body. Elements of coordination, improvisation and floor work will be present alongside more traditional contemporary dance techniques….And we will sweat! A bit more a out Faith: Faith is an English/American dancer/actor now based in Margate, UK. She began dancing at the age of 3 at a local dance school in Colorado, USA. She practiced many forms of dance growing up including ballet, tap, flamenco, hip hop, jazz and modern. As a teenager, she took an interest in contemporary dance and improvisation went on to study at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance under the direction of Summer Lee Rhatigan. It was as she was living in SF that she was exposed to world class dance teachers and was able to watch quality performances from companies touring from Europe. From there, she went onto study at Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance and earned a 1st class BA(hons). Since completing her studies, Faith has gone on to freelance across dance, theatre and opera in the UK and internationally working with directors and choreographers including Oona Doherty, Scottish Dance Theatre (Joan Cleville) Laurent Pelly, Simon McBurney, Leah Hausman, Annabel Arden, Damiano Bigi/Alessandra Paoletti (Fritz Company), Ballo Arthur Pita, Protein Dance (Luca Silvestrini), Jodie Cole, Sarah Shorten (Stacked Wonky), Sally Marie (Sweetshop Revolution), Emma Martin, Joel O'donoghue, Leila McMillan and Vivien Wood. Additionally she helped found Margate Movement Artists: a group of movers in Margate, Kent dedicated to bring dance to the region. Margate Pro Class is aimed at those who have trained in dance/ theatre at higher education or further.
