Migration day at Minnis walk

Join us on our extended 3 hour walk to celebrate world migration day at Minnis Bay Join us in celebrating World Bird Migration Day on a guided walk along Minnis Bay to discover some of the wonderful bird species we can encounter on our coastlines! We will be talking all things migration along with hopefully seeing migratory species along the way. The timing of this walk is perfect for seeing migrating wader species such as the daring dozen who have arrived from their breeding grounds and taken refuge along our coastline. Join us for a special EXTENDED guided walk at Minnis Bay - we'll be heading out to Cold Harbour reserve and returning whatever route is favoured due to weather. This will take us around 3 hours so please be prepared for a long walk. Our extended route means opportunities to see and hear lots of different birds, including Marsh Harriers, ringed plovers and even Red Kite! PLEASE NOTE - this is a longer walk than our usual! We'll be gone for 3 hours, so please pay extra attention to the weather! If it is windy, please wrap up warm as we'll be walking along a very exposed stretch! Good footwear is recommended either way, as we will be walking across uneven ground for a lot of the walk. We'll be meeting at the bottom of the slipway in front of the Minnis Bay Bar & Brasserie. There are public toilets available nearby, and there's ample free parking along the seafront. We will have limited numbers of binoculars, but you are more then welcome to borrow a pair!
