Practical Magic Monthly Circle

Explore the magic of Witch Bells through meditation, journaling and meaningful crafting. Create your own protection piece for your home. Join us for an evening of practical witchcraft, meaningful creativity and connection as we gather for our first monthly Practical Magic Women’s Circle in Deal. Our opening circle will explore Witch Bells — their place within protective folk magic, the intention behind them, and how they can be created as a personal piece of protection for your home. This is much more than simply making something beautiful. Throughout the evening, we’ll explore the meaning and symbolism behind the practice, beginning with a gentle guided meditation centred around home, protection and the things we choose to hold sacred. There will be time for reflection and journaling before we move into the practical part of the evening: creating your own set of Witch Bells with intention. You’ll be invited to choose from a carefully selected collection of ribbons, lace, natural twine, bells, charms, crystals, sea glass and other elements, considering the meaning behind what you choose and what you would like your finished piece to represent. There is no right or wrong way to create your Witch Bells. The emphasis is on intention, meaning and personal practice rather than simply following a set design. Once our pieces are complete, we’ll come back together to close the evening and bring intention to what we have created, ready for you to take your Witch Bells home and place them somewhere meaningful. Our Practical Magic circles are designed for both complete beginners and women who already have an established practice. You don’t need any previous knowledge or experience — just curiosity and a willingness to explore. Expect a warm, relaxed evening of learning, meditation, journaling, meaningful crafting and conversation in the intimate surroundings of The Crow’s Nest in Deal. Come as you are. Learn something real. Create something meaningful. Leave with a practice you can continue at home.
