Full description from organizerShow less
Programmed with Williams Gamaker, this season pairs classic movies from early Hollywood and British cinema which feature racially marginalised actors: Merle Oberon, Anna May Wong and Sabu, with her own films, that restore the agency of these overlooked actors. The season concludes with Incomplete Evidence – a film festival and workshop series presented by Cardiff University and Chapter, that brings Williams Gamaker’s work in dialogue with a series of feminist, queer, and anti-racist films that subvert and reimagine film history.
