A time to embrace the mystery, connect with ourselves, each other and let the dance take us somewhere wild and magical 😍 We're so excited to welcome ANNA LISA on the decks with Ecstatic Dance founder Sea Gypsee guiding the cacao activation alongside the powerful Oyu bringing her dreamy soundscapes. Delicious food & ceremonial cacao will also be available throughout the event with the talented Jimmys Kitchen & Black Cat Cacao. Open to everyone: no experience needed. Just come as you are. You can enjoy a wonder in the forest garden, the stone circle, the woods, have a pick at the eco sustainable constructions, have a sauna or some ceremonial cacao. Cacao Activation & Live Sounds w/ Sea Gypsee + Oyu 7pm - 7.20pm At the beginning of this session, we will introduce ceremonial cacao. As well as being incredibly delicious, ceremonial cacao helps us to ground, enhance our dance experience and open our hearts. It can also gently guide us to connect with hidden dimensions of ourselves. At Ecstatic Dance Cardiff, we prepare cacao with great respect for the indigenous wisdom keepers of this master plant medicine, infusing it with prayers and songs during the whole preparation process ✨ As we sip Ceremonial Cacao with intention and through a guided meditation to open our hearts, we will call in an intention for this year. The effects of cacao can vary from one person to another, but you can expect an improvement of mood and pleasure, stimulation of mental alertness and heart expansion. As well as being one of the most potent superfood on the planet, this ceremonial grade cacao will help you to reach a state of mild euphoria, without altering your consciousness. It's a beautiful heart-opener and with intention, it can help you enhance your wellbeing to the next level. It truly is the new way to dance without alcohol and we absolutely love it! In this session, you will gently be guided to breathe, let go of stress, recharge and move as you feel. Dancing and cultivating authentic movement from the inside is deeply nurturing and healing. Be prepared to deeply connect with the elements, move, sweat, experience and enjoy! 🌊 Unlike clubbing, ecstatic dance sets are built like "waves" moving from slow and mellow, to very dynamic and everything else in between; gently guiding you to stretch your body and mind in many directions, to experience the vast spectrum of your emotions with mindfulness and wild abandon. Most of the time when people dance it is to look good to others, but here, we dance to connect with our authentic natural selves Closing Circle 9.10-9.15pm We gather in circle to close the evening. This is a chance to feel connected in peace as a tribe. We tune into what is present within us, share and receive others experience in authenticity and non judgment. There will also be a chance to talk more by the fire after the dance. Social Time 9.15-10pm After the dance, for those who wish to stay, there will be delicious food by Jimmys Kitchen & Black Cat Cacao. It's a time for us to just be together by the fire in the autumn magic! Black Cat Cacao and Jimmy’s Kitchen are rooted in a love of nourishment, ritual and the stories carried within the foods we share. Their founder, Jimmy, spent 25 years living and working in East Africa, where hospitality, generosity and the importance of gathering around food became woven into everyday life. More recently, journeys to Ecuador have deepened his relationship with cacao, including time spent learning from those who work closely with Mama Cacao and the traditions that honour her as both plant medicine and teacher. The invitation is simple: to slow down, reconnect and receive nourishment as an act of care. The savoury nourishment bowl is designed to ground and replenish after movement, bringing together protein-rich quinoa with a gently spiced seasonal dhal. It is finished with rainbow kimchi and Jimmychiri – a vibrant herb dressing inspired by chimichurri and enriched with seasonal wild garlic, combining parsley, coriander, garlic, lemon, chilli and olive oil into a fresh, zesty accompaniment that lifts the entire dish. Fermented vegetables provide a tangy contrast, creating a bowl that is both deeply nourishing and full of flavour. The sweet bowl offers a softer landing: cool yoghurt layered with tahini, hemp hearts and delicate cacao flakes, finished with strawberry coulis and optional honey. It is simple, nourishing comfort food – balancing protein, healthy fats and a touch of sweetness to support recovery and integration after dance. Together, they celebrate nourishment not simply as fuel, but as pleasure, ritual and connection.
