Shoot pitchside at Cardiff Arms Park with Getty photographer Laurence Griffiths, then print your best shots with Epson. Students go free. Ever wondered how the pros freeze that match-winning moment? Here’s your chance to find out, pitchside. Join us at Cardiff Arms Park for a full day with Laurence Griffiths, Getty Images sports photographer and Nikon Sports Ambassador. Laurence has shot sport at the very highest level, and on 1 December he’s sharing exactly how he does it. You’ll start with the latest Nikon kit in your hands. Then Laurence will show you how to read the game, pick your spot and dial in your settings for fast action. Then it’s out onto the pitch to shoot the team in action, with Laurence alongside you to coach you through it. After hot food, Laurence takes you behind the lens with the stories and techniques behind his favourite shots. Meanwhile, the Epson print station opens so you can turn your best frames from the day into real prints to take home. We’ll finish with an image review and a Q&A, so bring your questions. Shoot with Nikon’s newest kit • Nikon Z5IIc: get your hands on Nikon’s newest camera, alongside the wider Nikon range. • NIKKOR Z 120-300mm f/2.8 TC VR S: Nikon’s brand-new pro sports telephoto zoom, with a built-in 1.4x teleconverter. It’s built for exactly this kind of action, and we’ll have one available to try on the day. There’s only one, so everyone will take turns with it pitchside. Print your shots with Epson We’ve teamed up with Epson to get your photos off the memory card and onto paper. Print your favourite images from the day and leave with something to show for it (limited prints per person). What’s included • Full use of Nikon cameras and lenses all day, including the new Z5IIc • A chance to shoot with the new NIKKOR Z 120-300mm f/2.8 TC VR S • A pitchside briefing and hands-on shooting session with Laurence Griffiths • An inspiring talk from Laurence on life as a top sports photographer • Pro tips on sports technique, autofocus tracking and camera settings for fast action • Hot food • Printing your best image on the day with Epson • Image review and Q&A with Laurence • £25 off any purchase made on the day Who it’s for No experience necessary. Whether you’re just starting out, a student, or a seasoned photographer looking to level up your sports work, you’re welcome. Kit is provided, so you don’t need to own a camera to take part, and you’re also welcome to bring your own. Bring your own SD card and you’ll take all your photos home with you. Students go free! Book a student ticket and bring valid student ID. Proof of student status will be checked on arrival. Spaces are limited, so book early to avoid missing out.
