Join Carlisle Library's monthly BorrowBox Book Club. Read or listen to the book, then share your thoughts. Attend in person or via Teams. Join us at Carlisle Library for our new monthly BorrowBox Book Club. Each month, BorrowBox features a selection of spotlight titles with unlimited access. We'll choose one of these titles for the group, giving you the option to enjoy it as either an eBook or an eAudiobook before meeting with fellow readers and listeners. Whether you're an avid reader, an audiobook fan or completely new to reading groups, you'll be warmly welcomed to this relaxed and friendly discussion session. This Month's Unlimited Title Our October BorrowBox Book Club title is The Distant Hours by Kate Morton. When a long-lost letter arrives after more than fifty years, it draws Edie Burchill into the mysterious history of Milderhurst Castle and the three elderly Blythe sisters who still live there. As family secrets begin to emerge, Edie uncovers a story of love, loss and hidden truths stretching back to the Second World War. We'll be discussing The Distant Hours at our meeting on Tuesday 3 November, sharing our thoughts on the novel's characters, themes and mysteries. At the end of the session, we'll also choose our next BorrowBox title for the following month's discussion.
