Upland Livestock Health Update

Join us and Rachel Tennant from Frame and Swift Veterinary Centre for an upland specific livestock health update. Join us for an evening with Rachel Tennant, vet from Frame and Swift Veterinary Centre, exploring key livestock health topics with a focus on the challenges of upland farming. Rachel will cover SCOPS (Sustainable Control of Parasites in Sheep) and faecal egg counts, including their role in managing parasites in upland flocks, alongside the latest bluetongue (BTV) update and practical advice on upland cattle health and nutrition. Timings: • 6.30pm: Arrival and supper • After supper: Veterinary talk covering parasite management, BTV and upland cattle health and nutrition, followed by questions and discussion. An opportunity to catch up with fellow farmers, share experiences and take away practical advice for managing livestock health in upland conditions. A hot supper will be provided, so please let us know of any dietary requirements when booking. With grateful thanks to the Lake District Farming in Protected Landscapes Fund for funding and supporting this event.
