The Jake Leg Jug Band

Making an exciting return visit to KBJC to celebrate an early Christmas and the Club's Third Birthday!! The Jake Leg Jug Band, led by Duncan Wilcox, are delighted to be making this return visit for the double-celebration. Jake Leg brings you the authentic sounds of 1920's and 30's America - jazz, blues, ragtime and gospel. Songs of murder, betrayal, gambling, liquor and redemption. They specialise in the music of rural/urban 1920s/30s America, ragtime, blues, jazz, gospel... "It's all thrown into a heady mix of pure fun and emotion, wonderfully performed with passion and great skill. Pure entertainment in the spirit of true variety and first class musicianship, bringing new life to a style which should never disappear. Do yourself a favour and try to catch them at one of their regular countrywide appearances. A masterpiece of nostalgic music. The band display real virtuosity and create a wonderful sound that will be hard for any other band to repeat" .
