Witherley Bonfire Night Celebrations

Join us for Witherley Bonfire Night Celebrations! The Fireworks are due to start at 7:30 PM on Witherley Memorial Playing. Witherley Bonfire Night Celebrations! General Information about Witherley Bonfire Night Celebrations this evening. *Please Read* 🎆 We can’t wait to welcome you to the Witherley Community Fireworks Display on Saturday 7th November!🎆 This fantastic event is proudly funded by The Blue Lion, Witherley Football Club, and your generous donations. 💷 Recommended donation: £5 per person or £15 per family. Donation buckets can be found behind the bar at The Blue Lion, and our Volunteer Marshals will also have them throughout the evening. Your support keeps this tradition alive — rising costs mean many similar events are being cancelled, so every donation truly makes a difference. Thank you for helping us keep this community celebration going! 🍔 Food & Drink Hot food and drinks will be served in the Courtyard from 5pm. Both card and cash are accepted (though cash is preferred if possible). Witherley united football club will also be offering refreshments as well as Friends of Witherley School in the Field. Please note: From 5pm, plastic glasses and paper coffee cups will be used inside The Blue Lion — no glass is allowed on the field. ✨ Safety & Enjoyment This is a NO SPARKLER event — please do not bring your own sparklers. Flashing light wands will be available to buy in the Courtyard, from the Club and on the Field alongside our food and drink stalls. The Fireworks Display will begin around 7:30pm (weather permitting). Please dress warmly and wear suitable footwear for the field conditions. 🚗 Parking & Access There is no dedicated parking for this event. We encourage you to walk or share lifts if possible. If you need to park nearby, please do so considerately — do not block roads, driveways, or drop kerbs, and always leave space for emergency vehicles. 🦺 Safety & First Aid Our Volunteer Marshals will be stationed at the entrance on Post Office Lane and around the field perimeter. Please follow their instructions and keep in the spectator zone on the field. They’re here to keep everyone safe - abuse towards volunteers will not be tolerated. If you need first aid, it will be available near the field entrance opposite The Blue Lion car park on Post Office Lane. We’re looking forward to an unforgettable night — thank you for being part of our wonderful community and supporting this event! 💥
