Susan Connolly's midwinter: a verbal-visual conversation / discussion

Join Susan Connolly for a cozy, in-person chat blending words and visuals this midwinter! Susan Connolly's midwinter: a verbal-visual conversation / discussion In midwinter, poet-artist Susan Connolly explores the local landscape of Drogheda and surrounding area. Using lyric shapes, a typewriter font, handwriting, and two letter stamp sets, her handmade concertina books engage with poetry not only as verbal text but as visual artefact. The event will feature a reading by Connolly followed by a conversation / discussion about her dual practice with Katharina Maria Kalinowski and Natasha Cuddington. This event is supported by the Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon, and the Shared Island Civic Society Fund, managed by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Government of Ireland.
