CASES BIG Day 2026 pre-conference event

Workshops delivered by Qualisys and Delsys We are excited to announce two outstanding pre-conference workshops, taking place at Abertay University on 3rd December from 15.00-18.00. The workshops will provide delegates with hands-on learning experiences from industry-leading experts in biomechanical measurement - a brief description of the workshops is below. Achieving Better Tracking and High Accuracy with Motion Capture - workshop delivered by Qualisys This interactive session will cover the essentials of motion capture before guiding participants through practical workshops designed to enhance data quality, tracking accuracy, and confidence in motion analysis workflows. From Setup to Signal: The Fundamentals of Reliable EMG Measurement - workshop delivered by Delsys Participants will explore the principles of high-quality EMG data collection, from system setup to signal interpretation, with practical sessions focused on improving reliability and best practice in EMG measurement. Both workshops combine foundational theory with hands-on application, making them ideal for researchers, practitioners, postgraduate students, and anyone interested in advancing their measurement techniques and data quality. Important things to note: • Although every effort will be made to allocate you to the workshop of your preference, capacity restrictions may dictate that you are offered a place on the other workshop. • If you want to also attend CASES BIG 2026, please register here: https://www.cases.org.uk/sspage-events-division_events20-big_event.html.
