Celebrate Scotland with The Blether

Celebrate Scotland this St Andrew’s Day with stories, live music, whisky and The Blether with Stuart Cassells and Gary Innes. This St Andrew’s Day, come and Celebrate Scotland with The Blether. On Monday 30 November, The Blether comes to Eden Mill Distillery in St Andrews for a special evening celebrating Scotland through the thing we have always done particularly well: telling stories and bringing people together. Hosted by Stuart Cassells, founder and former frontman of the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, alongside BBC presenter Gary Innes of Mànran, the evening will bring together stories, conversation, live Scottish music and, of course, a dram. But this isn’t a traditional whisky tasting, a networking event or a formal St Andrew’s Day dinner. It’s a Blether. At the centre of each table will be a Quaich – Scotland’s cup of friendship. A question will be asked and the Quaich will travel around the table. Whoever holds the Quaich has the table. One person speaks. Everyone else listens. Then it passes on. No speeches to prepare. No need to be a great storyteller. Just come as you are. A drink on arrival as well as some tasty canapés included. In a world where we’re increasingly communicating through screens, working remotely and spending more time with technology, The Blether is about creating a little more space for genuine human connection. And there could hardly be a better place or day to do it. St Andrew’s Day. In St Andrews. At Eden Mill. We’ll celebrate Scotland’s past, enjoy Scotland as it is today and have a blether about what might come next. Come on your own, with a friend or bring a few people around the table. Celebrate Scotland. Share a story. Have The Blether.
