Countdown to Hogmanay, Laldie Ceilidh featuring The Cutting Edge Band

It's the beginning of the end of 2026. The first night of the Countdown to Hogmanay. • Authentic, fun traditional Scottish dance experience • 3.5 hours high-energy ceilidh dance event • Licensed bar • Live music and calling (dance instruction) from the band • Designed to enable beginners among experienced dancers Suitable for all fun-loving people, including first timers. Ceilidh isn't about perfection; it's about having fun trying. All ages and all abilities are welcome. We demonstrate, walk through and call dances to suit the overall crowd on the day - and there are always experienced dancers to follow. Come along in a group, come along with a partner, come along on your own: there are plenty of opportunities to meet and dance with other people. Please note tickets are on sale at the venue website https://assemblyroxy.com/ and at Eventbrite. These are separate ticket allocations. One source may sell out before the other. When the event is showing as sold out, try joining the waitlist here on this event page. Doors open 7.30pm, ceilidh starts 8pm, ends 11:30pm. Please note: venue licensing dictates that young people (under 18) are permitted and welcome until 11pm. At Laldie Ceilidhs our aim is to curate the best possible ceilidh dance events. We like high-energy, we like dance variety, we work with the best bands and the best venues we know. We believe that the best ceilidhs come about when there is a mix of beginners and experienced dancers. We value the contribution made by active repeat ceilidh-goers with a discount on a limited number of tickets: returning customers are invited to contact us at [email protected] for the promo code and to share it with one another. We often take photos and video at our events and we publish some images (including on social media and other websites) for general interest and for promotional purposes. If you object to being photographed please consult with us before buying a ticket. sign up to our mailing list
