Edinburgh Cultural Workers: Palestine Assembly

Palestinian cultural workers living through apartheid, occupation and genocide continue to call for solidarity from their counterparts around the world. Join organisers from Art Not Genocide Alliance, Art Workers for Palestine Scotland, Fossil Free Books and the Falastin Film Festival for a cultural workers’ assembly to reflect on the movement to end complicity with the ongoing genocide within Edinburgh’s cultural institutions. We come together to share strategies and tactics that cultural workers have been using for BDS campaign organising in Scotland and beyond. • How is building solidarity with Palestine helping fight against precarious working conditions across the arts in Scotland? • How can freelance artists and art workers better connect with employed workers at institutions to strengthen ongoing and future BDS campaigns? • What tools do we have to fight back against censorship and repression, including groups such as UK Lawyers for Israel? • What is the role of artists, writers and cultural workers in this moment?
