EUVC TRIALS (INTERMEDIATE / MEN)

This is one of our Men's Competitive Team Trial Sessions. Qualifications / Requirements: Players wanting to attend the Men‘s General tryout aiming for M1/M2 should meet most of these criteria and fullfill all responsibilities: ⁃ Have at least one position that they know how to play. ⁃ Know how to play in a 5:1 system and the rules of the game. ⁃ For setters: being able to set position 4, 3 and opposite/right side (back court or front court) with regularity ⁃ Players should know the distinction between a pokey, a tip, a roll shot and a proper spike and how to carry most of them out ⁃ Have an accurate regular overhand serve able to target player positions or seams. ⁃ Have an accurate regular serve receive which reliably often finds the setter. ⁃ Be able to work in a blocking system and working as a unit with other blockers. - Reliable attendance/ commitment for training sessions (2x a week plus gym session for W1) on a weekly basis - Reliable attendance / commitment for competitions (2x a week including weekends) and commitment to traveling for away games Players wanting to attend the Men‘s General tryout aiming for M3 should meet most of these criteria: ⁃ Have at least one position that they know how to play. ⁃ Know the rules of the game. ⁃ Have the fundamentals down of setting, bumping, spiking, and serving and can consistently carry them out - Reliable attendance for training sessions on a weekly basis *All money raised will go towards supporting the club, including new equipment and volleyballs!
