Typewronger's No Homework Book Club - Nov 2026/No Thanks-giving

A no-prior-reading-required book club hosted by Typewronger Books every 2nd Sunday of each month What is the No Homework Book Club? Every second Sunday of the month, we'll get together as a small group in the shop to talk about books we have read or are currently reading based on the monthly prompt. Feel free to bring the book you want to talk about for a bit of show and tell, but this is by no means required. Come join us for some great conversation - this format is great to discuss a variety of titles instead of just one, and to get a fantastic recommendations as a result! Hosted by our Sunday bookseller Alex Victor. This month's theme is NO THANKS-GIVING! Get ready to be mad! This month, we're talking about books we seriously didn't like, titles we found so boring, bad, or offensive that we're still seething to this day! Pick a title to pick a bone with and come tell us why we shouldn't read it. And if you liked the book someone else brought...no hits below the belt! How the book club works During the evening, everyone will get a set amount of time to tell us about the title they picked and why they picked it. You don't have to talk for the entire allocated time, but the limit is there to ensure that everyone gets a chance to introduce their pick. You don't have to necessarily even have a specific title in mind to come, you just need the willingness to listen and discuss the topic. Free hot tea included (and encouraged). Because of the nature of the event, spaces are limited to 12, so book yours as soon as you can. If it turns out that you cannot attend, please make sure to cancel it as soon as you know, so that your space can be given to somebody else. There is always next month!
