An update on the Royal Clarence renovation

Dr Todd Gray discusses the ongoing renovation of Exeter’s historic Royal Clarence Hotel, which was destroyed by fire in 2016. The tenth anniversary of the fire at the Royal Clarence Hotel is a time to reflect on the event, recap how much we have learned since then about this complex building, and learn about the current redevelopment. By now, most society members will have seen the great crane towering over the Cathedral Green. The buildings will start to show marked signs of change. We are all looking forward to Christmas 2027! If you are a member of the Exeter Local History Society, tickets are free for you - please select a £0 ticket when registering for the event. If you are not a member of the Society, there is a small (£5) entry fee. If you would like to attend as a non-member, please select a non-member ticket when registering. More information about the Society and its events can be found on the Society's website at www.exeterlocalhistorysociety.co.uk.
