Come and learn the Japanese craft of Kinusaiga - the no-sew fabric art! Kinusaiga: Japanese No-Sew Fabric Art WorkshopDiscover the beautiful Japanese art of Kinusaiga, a traditional fabric craft that creates intricate pictures and patterns using small pieces of fabric—without sewing! In this relaxing, hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the basic techniques of Kinusaiga, from creating a design (or using one of my pre-made choices), cutting it into foam, choosing fabrics and colours to creating your design and carefully fitting fabric pieces into a prepared surface to build your own unique artwork. Whether you’re completely new to textile crafts or already enjoy working with fabric, this workshop is a wonderful opportunity to slow down, get creative, and explore a fascinating Japanese craft. All materials and refreshments are included, so everything you need for the workshop is provided. No previous experience is required — just bring yourself, your creativity, and a willingness to try something new! This workshop is for adults only. Parking can be found for free along the High Street or in the various car parks of Wellington which are only a short walk away from the venue.
