Full description from organizer

A four-week neuro-inclusive wellbeing programme for neurodivergent women, exploring emotions, regulation, boundaries and self-management. Your workshop information and what to expect Thank you for signing up to our Neurodivergent Women's Wellbeing Workshops at Exeter Library! We are looking forward to welcoming you to this four-week programme, designed specifically for neurodivergent adult women (18+), particularly those who identify as autistic (including Asperger's) and/or have ADHD. You are welcome whether you have a formal diagnosis, are currently going through the diagnostic process, are awaiting assessment or suspect you may be neurodivergent. No formal diagnosis is required to participate. Our workshops combine psychoeducation, coaching psychology and practical activities to help you better understand your emotions, develop strategies that work for you and connect with others who may share similar experiences. We recognise that everyone experiences neurodivergence differently. Throughout the programme, we will encourage you to explore and adapt the tools we introduce to suit your own needs, preferences and experiences. Dates, times and location Venue: Exeter Library, Castle Street, Exeter, EX4 3PQ Room: Meeting Room 4 Time: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm Workshop dates: • Monday 16th November 2026 • Monday 23rd November 2026 • Monday 30th November 2026 • Monday 7th December 2026 Please aim to attend all four sessions where possible, as each workshop builds on the previous one. Getting to Exeter Library Exeter Library is centrally located and accessible by public transport, with several parking options nearby. By train Exeter Central is the nearest railway station, approximately a 5–10-minute walk from the library. Exeter St Davids is also an option, with onward bus or walking connections into the city centre. By bus Exeter city centre is served by numerous bus routes. There are several bus stops along the High Street and surrounding streets within walking distance of the library. Exeter Bus Station is also approximately a 10-minute walk away. By car There are several paid car parks within walking distance, including: • John Lewis Car Park • Howell Road Car Park • Guildhall Shopping Centre Car Park • Princesshay Car Parks Please check parking charges, availability and any restrictions before travelling. Accessible parking A limited number of public Blue Badge parking spaces are available directly outside Exeter Library on Castle Street, with additional spaces nearby on Musgrave Row. These cannot be reserved for workshop participants, so availability is not guaranteed. Finding us on the day Our workshops will take place in Meeting Room 4 at Exeter Library. If you already know where Meeting Room 4 is, you are welcome to make your way directly there. If you are unsure where to go, please ask a member of staff at the library reception, who will be able to direct you to our room. I will aim to arrive between 9:30 and 9:45 am each week to prepare for the workshop. Our room booking begins at 10:00 am, so access to Meeting Room 4 before this time may depend on availability. If you arrive early, you are welcome to wait in the library until the room is ready. There is no expectation to socialise or join conversations before the workshop begins. Our environment and sensory considerations We recognise that sensory environments can have a significant impact on how comfortable and accessible an activity feels. With this in mind, we have specifically booked a smaller meeting room to create a quieter, calmer and more supportive atmosphere, with a smaller group size than our usual community workshops. We will do our best to minimise and manage sensory distractions, including considering noise, lighting and the general workshop environment. However, as we are using a public library, some environmental factors may be outside our control. We also ask everyone to be mindful of each other's sensory needs, recognising that something which helps one person may be distracting or uncomfortable for another. You are very welcome to bring anything that helps you feel comfortable and participate, such as: • Noise-cancelling headphones or ear defenders • Fidget toys or other stimming resources • Sensory aids or comfort items • Any other personal equipment or resources you find helpful We simply ask that you consider others when using items that create additional noise, light or movement. What to bring You do not need to bring anything with you! We will provide pens, paper, workshop resources and any other materials needed for the activities. However, if you have a particular notebook, favourite pens, stationery or equipment that you prefer using, please feel free to bring these along. You are also welcome to bring a drink or anything else you may need for your comfort during the session. Breaks, participation and group activities We want everyone to feel comfortable participating in a way that works for them. You are welcome to take as many breaks as you need throughout the workshops. You do not need to explain why you need a break or ask permission to step out. Some activities will involve discussions, reflection or working with others. However, there will always be choice in how you participate. For example: • You can participate in group discussions or simply listen. • You can work with others or complete activities independently. • You can choose whether to share personal experiences or reflections. • You can adapt activities to suit your own needs and preferences. • You can step away from activities or take a break whenever needed. There is no expectation to contribute verbally, share personal information or participate in every activity. Our aim is to create an environment where you can learn, explore and reflect without feeling pressured to engage in a particular way. What we will explore across the four weeks The following provides an overview of our planned topics.
