Seasonings: How do we support each other through uncertain times?

A pilot afternoon of making, cooking, stories and a shared potluck feast. Come as you are, and bring food if you can. Local Motion Pilot Seasoning We're trying something new, and we'd love you to be part of it. Seasonings is a new series of events from Local Motion. Through this gathering we're wondering: How do we support each other through uncertain times? "it is a serious thing just to be alive on this fresh morning in the broken world." Mary Oliver, The Invitation On Sunday 1 November, 2 – 7pm, we'll gather at Parkfield House to make, cook, listen and share stories and ideas. The evening ends with a potluck feast, with everyone offering what they can and nobody carrying the whole thing. You don't need answers, or any particular skills. You could come for the whole afternoon or part of it, join in or simply sit and listen. We'd love to have you however you'd like to be there. Seasonings (pilot) Sunday 1 November 2026, 2 – 7pm Parkfield House, Paignton What we'll share • Making and cooking alongside other people • Conversations where listening matters as much as speaking • Time outside, connecting with the more-than-human world • A potluck feast at the end, with everyone bringing a little • Space to join in, try things out or simply be there • No need to have answers, skills or anything prepared • Drop in for part of the afternoon if that's what works for you Food Food to share is very welcome if you're able to bring some.
