Come and join me to create your own beautiful seed pod garden ornaments in this fun pottery workshop. No experience necessary. Seed Pod Garden Ornament Pottery Workshop Join local artist Helen McCormick for a relaxed, creative day at Nancy Potter House. Learn to sculpt a set of three beautiful garden ornaments inspired by nature's seed pods using traditional hand-building techniques. About the Workshop Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to sharpen your pottery skills, this workshop offers a friendly and supportive space to unleash your artistic side. During the session, I will guide you step-by-step through the pottery-making process, from shaping the clay to adding intricate, organic details. We will be using traditional hand-building methods to create three unique ornaments. These pieces are designed to bring a touch of sculptural elegance to your outdoor space. The focus of the day is on sharing skills, meeting new people, and most importantly, having fun! What’s Included • All clay, tools, and equipment. • Three metal steel rods of varying heights for displaying your work. • Tea and coffee provided throughout the day. • Professional kiln firing and hand-glazing with an antique gold finish. What to Bring • A packed lunch. • An apron and old clothes you don't mind getting a little dusty. The Firing Process & Collection After the workshop, I will carefully take your ornaments to my studio to be dried, fired, and hand-glazed with an antique gold glaze. This finish makes them waterproof and ready for the garden. Collection: Your work will be ready to collect from Nancy Potter House approximately 6 weeks after the workshop. I will contact you with specific dates and times once they are ready. Please note: Finished work can be stored for up to 6 months before being donated to charity or discarded. Refund & Cancellation Policy I understand that plans can change, but as a small micro business (only me), last-minute cancellations are difficult to fill. • 14 days or more before the event: Full refund of the ticket price provided. • 3 to 13 days before the event: Refund of the ticket price OR a ticket transfer to a future workshop of the same value ONLY if I am able to fill your space. • 2 days (48 hours) before the event: No refunds or transfers can be offered. If I have to cancel the workshop for any reason, you will receive a full refund. Location & Parking Venue: Nancy Potter House Topsham Parking: There is no parking at Nancy Potter House.
