A presentation from visiting speaker, maritime historian Dr Jo Esra on Smuggling and Piracy around the Devon and Cornwall coasts For this month's Folklore Friday we welcome a visiting speaker, Dr Jo Esra, to discuss smuggling and piracy around the South West shores, and the traditions and customs that went with it. Jo is a senior lecturer at the University of Exeter and Maritime Historian, so she will be our expert guide for the evening. This is a FREE event, but donations are welcome to support the charitable work of The Folklore Library and Archive.
