Full description from organizer

Come and join me for a fun day learning how to create a beautiful moon gazing hare sculpture for your garden. No experience necessary. Terracotta Moon Gazing Hare Workshop Join local artist Helen McCormick for a relaxed, creative day at Nancy Potter House in Topsham. Learn to sculpt a characterful moon gazing Hare using traditional hand-building techniques and beautiful terracotta clay. About the Workshop Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to sharpen your pottery skills, this workshop offers a friendly and supportive space to create. During the session, I will guide you step-by-step through the process of hand-building your own Hare sculpture. We will be working with terracotta clay, a wonderful, earthy material that is perfect for capturing the spirit of the hare. These sculptures are left unglazed, as the terracotta will age beautifully in your garden over time. The focus of the day is on learning, meeting new people, and most importantly, having fun! What’s Included • All terracotta clay, tools, and equipment. • Tea and coffee provided throughout the day. • Professional kiln firing of your finished piece. What to Bring • A packed lunch. • An apron and old clothes you don't mind getting a little dusty. The Firing Process & Collection After the workshop, I will take your sculpture to my studio to be kiln-fired. • Collection: Your work will be ready to collect from Nancy Potter House approximately 6 weeks after the workshop. I will contact you with specific dates and times once they are ready. • Please note: Finished work can be stored for up to 6 months before being either donated to charity or discarded. Refund & Cancellation Policy I understand that plans can change, but as a small micro business (only me), last-minute cancellations are difficult to fill. My policy is as follows: • 14 days or more before the event: Full refund of the ticket price provided. • 3 to 13 days before the event: Refund of the ticket price (minus the booking fee) OR a ticket transfer to a future workshop of the same value ONLY if I am able to fill your space. • 2 days (48 hours) before the event: No refunds or transfers can be offered.
