Join artist Joseph Winsborrow in crafting your own bottle of anointing oil and learn about the historic practice of herbalism THORNFEST – Anointing Oil & Herbalism Workshop In partnership with THORNFEST 2026 Saturday 26th September, between 12 and 4pm Join artist Joseph Winsborrow in crafting your own bottle of anointing oil and learn about the historic practice of herbalism. You will get to engage with some of the magical histories of plants and create oils dedicated to your own intention. Herbalism is an ancient craft found all over the world. The magical properties of plants are well known by witches, and yet often remain a mystery to most. Using a variety of essential oils and dried herbs we will create anointing oils focused on spiritual healing. Celebrating the Autumn Equinox, as well as a full moon in Aries, it is a powerful time to place your intention into healing and protection. As we move from the Equinox into the winter months, we can look to herbalism to help protect us. With the full moon in Aries, passions burn bright, and it is an ideal time to step into our personal power and change our lives for the better. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the nature of the herbs will be using, the workshop is not suitable for anybody who is or might be pregnant. The workshop will last roughly 45 minutes. There will be 4 sessions throughout the afternoon, with 5 spaces per session. The price of your ticket will cover 1 anointing oil bottle to take make and take home with you. Additional bottles may be available to purchase on the day.
