World Sewing Day Drop-In Event

Come hang out, sew something fun, and celebrate World Sewing Day with fellow craft lovers! World Sewing Day Drop-In Event Hey there! Join us for a World Sewing Day Event at the new workshop at Karen Gutans Art in Crediton. Caroline Ward, a Crediton based sewist with a wonderful wardrobe from upcycled duvets and a reputation for humourous makes, will be guiding people in making a 9-patch bag and/or suffolk puff flower. They can be used on a bag or throw cushion cover, or be added to a brooch or key ring, courtesy of Significant Seams. Catherine West will be collecting your thoughts on workshops and events of interest, and sharing information about what's planned, and Significant Seams wider services. Whether you're a pro or just picking up a needle, come hang out, learn or share tips, and work on your projects with others. Joining in helps make Crediton part of a global network of events! No stress, no rigid schedule—just bring your creativity and curiousity - and have a blast celebrating sewing together! The day's activities will be designed for hand sewing, but future events with Significant Seams 8 sewing machines are expected - subject to interest from the community. Would a pop-up kitted out sewing studio (machines, ironing station, cutting station, a handy haberdashery) be useful? Are group or prvate lessons desireable?
