Learn to Make 15 Infusions from Around the World | Not Just Water

Join HeatAction Communities CIC for a beginner-friendly infusion-making workshop in Newcastle upon Tyne. Over two relaxed hours, you'll learn how to make 15 infusions from around the world, hear the stories behind the flavours and build a set of drinks you can recreate at home. Think of the practical learning of a cooking class, with the focus on what goes into your glass. Discover how herbs, spices, fruit, temperature and timing can turn familiar ingredients into something surprisingly different. WHAT YOU'LL LEARN • The methods behind 15 recipes, through live demonstrations, walkthroughs and comparison • When to steep, simmer or infuse cold, and how time and temperature change the flavour • How to balance flavours and adapt a recipe using ordinary kitchen equipment • The cultural stories behind selected drinks • Simple preparation and serving tips, so you can repeat the recipes at home HOW IT WORKS Sanju will guide you through the methods, demonstrate a selection of recipes and explain the rest. You'll smell the ingredients, taste and compare selected samples, ask questions and learn how to adapt the flavours to your taste. It's a demonstration-led workshop: you won't make all 15 drinks yourself, and the tasting is a selected range. No experience needed.
