TV and Film Scratch Event

Hear new work from Northern screenwriters alongside live feedback from an experienced industry panel. Come and hear new work from Northern screenwriters as they test the opening 10 pages of four new TV and film projects through script in hand readings with actors and a live audience. The writers and audience will then benefit from hearing constructive feedback from an experienced industry panel of producers and script executives including representatives from Wall to Wall (Waterloo Road) and BBC Writers. These scripts were all developed on New Writing North’s ADAPT development programme that supports writers to adapt work from stage plays and novels to the screen. The writers showcasing work are Afidi Nomo, Ishy Din, Khatijah Balu, Lee Mattinson and Sam J Honour. This script showcase has been made possible thanks to the North East Mayoral Strategic Authority's Create Talent programme.
