Defeating Narratives of Division (Glasgow): Train the Trainer

If we want to defeat narratives of division then we need to ensure that our people, both understand and feel, that together, we can deliver not just jobs, housing and public services, but dignity in old age and respect for all. We urgently need to build a movement for social justice Despite the abject failure of the mainstream democratic parties, there is still time to avert the impending disaster of a Reform UK government, accompanied by a far right street presence terrorising our communities, but only if we get organised. The Ella Baker School of Organising has a series of tried and tested training materials that address the current crisis and explore what people can do in their communities, in their workplaces, and in their faith institutions, to reverse the growth of far right narratives. But these materials need to reach hundreds of thousands of people, and they only way that is going to happen is if we train large numbers of volunteer trainers, who take these ideas and the accompanying strategies into their communities. We aim to train 500 such trainers in the next 12 months, all we ask is that you commit to sharing your learning. Our aim is to stimulate strategic thinking and action in our communities to address the real problems our communities face and defeat narratives of division. Are you in?
