Earth Toddlers

Join us for weekly toddler forest school sessions. Expect art and craft activities, fun woodland games and so much more! Our outdoor Earth Toddlers Forest School sessions are for children aged around 18 months to 3 years, together with an accompanying parent or guardian. Sessions take place in Gillies Hill Woodland on Wednesday mornings from 10:30am to 12:00pm. What to expect Activities will change with the seasons, but may include nature-based art and crafts, den building, campfire cooking, imaginative play, and basic fire skills. Forest School is child-led, so the focus of each session will follow the interests of the children in the group. For you too These sessions are designed with both you and your toddler in mind. They’re a time for creating memories, building confidence, and connecting with others and the natural world. The details • Time: 10:30am to 12:00pm, Wednesdays • What to wear: Waterproofs, boots, and warm layers for both you and your child. Spare clothes are also a good idea. • Weather: Sessions run in all but extreme weather. We will be in touch if a session cannot run as planned. • Children: Must be supervised by their accompanying adult throughout. • Dogs: Dogs are not permitted • Accessibility: Access to the camp is along woodland trails so is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs. Finding us We meet at 10:30am at the Gillies Hill entrance and walk together to our camp spot, about 150m into the woods. If you arrive late, please make your own way to the camp spot using the directions in your booking email. Booking Each child over 18 months will need a ticket. Who’s running the session? The session is led by a qualified Forest School leader with outdoor and paediatric first aid training. Our approach Our Forest School sessions are inspired by the Reggio Emilia, Piaget, and Montessori pedagogies.
