Expect shadows, movement and music as we delve into a world where ambition consumes, power corrupts and the consequences of our choices cannot be escaped. Macbeth is a story of what happens when we put our own desires above the community around us — and in a world increasingly searching for genuine connection, its questions feel as relevant as ever. Foldout was established to create an alternative model and narrative that challenges the status quo. We believe creativity is abundant, and that there should be room for diversity, experimentation and risk. We are a collective of trained performers who want all actors up here in Scotland to feel like they are apart of a community, where artists can take risks, develop their craft, support one another and make ambitious work together.
