Intro to English Paper Piecing (EPP): Hexagon Flowers

Ellie Mills (Ellietype) is back to show us another way to quilt with scrap fabric! English Paper Piecing is a traditional hand-stitching technique perfect for creating precise, intricate quilt designs. This technique utilises small, precise hand-stitches. We'll learn the basics of EPP, using scrap fabric and paper templates to create a simple hexagon-based design. We will then stich into a 'Hexagon Flower' using the fabric of your choice! Take it home with you to develop into a quilt, or applique onto fabric to make into a cushion cover! All materials included. Tea, coffee and buiscuits provided. 🗓 Saturday, 21st November ⏰ 11.00am - 1.00pm 📍 Johnstone Textile Space, 36 Houstoun Court, Johnstone PA5 8DL More about Ellie: Ellie Mills (Ellietype) is a Glasgow-based visual artist whose multi-disciplinary practice spans signwriting, murals, and textiles.
