Nearer to Nature Workshop: Coatbridge Riverbank

Got ideas for your greenspace? Come and tell us what you think about Riverbank Community Hub Greenspace, Coatbridge through a relaxed, interactive creative workshop. We want to hear your stories of this place, what you love about it, what you avoid, what you notice, and what you would like to see change. What makes you want to spend time here, and what makes you steer clear? What would you like to see, smell and hear in the future? What feels missing? And whose experiences or needs might not be heard often enough? You don’t need any previous experience. Just bring your ideas, experiences and imagination. Please let us know if you have access needs at [email protected] About our project We are running a series of creative workshops across North Lanarkshire in October, working with North Lanarkshire Council to understand what local communities need and want from the greenspaces in their area. Our workshops are creative-led, feelings-led and open to everyone. We want to understand not just how people use greenspaces, but how these places feel, what makes people feel welcome or unwelcome, and what people would like them to become in the future. There will be lots of different ways to get involved, including: • creative mapping • weaving workshops • biodiversity activities • conversations, stories and future ideas The project forms part of North Lanarkshire Council’s Nearer to Nature project.
