See and Paint! - Two Day Oil Painting Workshop

Two days, exploring the studio practice of painting in oils; how it moves, how it mixes, how it responds to what's beneath it. See and Paint! - Oil Painting Workshop 10:30 - 15:30 for two consequtive days, tutored in exploring painting in oils — how it moves, how it mixes, how it responds to what's beneath it. Working with a limited palette of colours to create a range of outcomes. Suited to anyone wanting to start to paint with oils, or developing their studio practice through material research, discussion, and testing what the medium allows. By the end of the two days you'll have painted using techniques you can keep developing as your own — two full days of hands-on painting, tutored throughout by Alan. Students that attend previous Look and See courses are also welcome to book if they want to take the opportunity to further explore these methods and techniques to further develop these skills and knowledge. Further information on this and other courses at www.alanbrashart.co.uk/courses Who it's for? Who benefits is decided by pursuit, not experience. Someone returning after years away and someone already deep into their own studio practice can sit in the same room and both find real value — together they look closely, test an idea, and see where it leads. What's included? Studio-based tuition, with a day of hands-on time — not a demonstration you watch, but skills you actually practise and form as your own. Guided throughout by Alan. We will provide painting surfaces, specific oils and mixing medium and studio equipment.
