Domestic Abuse - Recognising the Red Flags & Accessing Local Support

An afternoon of survivor-led training & discussion, hosted by Voices of Hope. Please note that lunch is included in the ticket price. Hear first-hand from local survivors about their experiences, what helped and how local services can respond. There will be time to ask questions, work through practical examples with colleagues and learn about support available locally. Who is it for? • Staff and volunteers from charities, community organisations and faith groups across Elmbridge & East Surrey. • Community Connectors, Local Area Coordinators and council teams. What we’ll cover: • Recognising red flags for domestic abuse & coercive control. • Understanding the impact of abuse & barriers survivors face accessing support. • Recognising how perpetrators may manipulate professionals. • Learning from survivors’ voices & experiences. • Accessing local support, including specialist services and longer-term community support
