National Poetry Day 2026: Open Mic at Woking Library

We'll kick off the evening with performances from Woking Library's very own, talented Poetry Hub, sharing everything from thought-provoking verses to poems that will make you laugh. Then the mic is yours. Share an original poem, perform a favourite piece you've written, or simply relax and enjoy an evening filled with creativity, imagination and local talent. Whether you're a seasoned performer or stepping up to the microphone for the very first time, you'll find a warm welcome and an encouraging audience. Listen. Share. Connect. Celebrate poetry. Key information about booking: • The event starts at 6:30pm • This event is suitable for adults • Please purchase a ticket for each person attending • Tickets are available with a donation* (Minimum recommendation is £2 per person attending). • Booking is essential, so be quick to avoid disappointment • Please arrive 10 minutes early Please note that this performance will be facilitated in a way to be inclusive of everyone, including any audience members that may require additional support.
