Successful Lifelong Learning

Understand the barriers to learning. Improve the way you learn. Unlock more of your potential. What if your brain is capable of far more than you realise? To do almost anything in life, the brain goes through a learning process. Whether you are getting qualified in your chosen career, learning a new skill, remembering information, developing relationships, managing your finances, performing at work or simply trying to do something you have never done before — your brain is learning. Learning is the foundation of achievement, development and human behaviour. • So what happens when learning doesn't seem to work? • What happens when individuals are diagnosed with ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism, learning disabilities, or are “other-wise" ? • Why can someone be intelligent and still struggle to learn, remember, concentrate or perform? And what can we actually do about it? Join Shammi Khalis, Founder of Brain Abilitiez — The A to Z of Abilities, for an engaging and practical evening exploring the barriers to successful learning and performance. This event is designed to give you a better understanding of why learning struggles can occur — and what can be done to overcome them. It is relevant whether you are a student, parent, teacher, professional, or simply someone who wants to understand how to get more from their brain. You will discover: 🧠 The barriers to successful learning — and how to recognise them. 🧠 How the brain learns and what can influence learning, memory, focus and performance. 🧠 Why someone can struggle despite having the ability to succeed. 🧠 How to identify the gap between where you are and where you want to be. 🧠 Practical principles for improving learning and performance. 🧠 How knowledge from neuroscience and cognitive development can help us think differently about learning. 🧠 How to develop a growth mindset and become more effective at learning & evolving throughout life. For students, parents & educators This is particularly useful for anyone supporting a person who struggles with learning or performance. It can provide a different perspective on challenges associated with labels such as Dyslexia, ADHD, Dyscalculia and ASD, while focusing on the individual rather than the label. The aim is not to put people into boxes. It is to understand why someone may be struggling — and what can be done to help them move forward. Learning is lifelong. The better learner you become, the more possibilities you can create for yourself. You don't stop learning when you leave school. You learn throughout your career, your relationships, your personal development and every new challenge life presents. Come and discover how understanding the learning process could change the way you approach your own potential — and the potential of those around you. Your brain is capable of more than you realise. Come and find out. Limited spaces.
