When the guns fell silent: Poems of WW1

Experience the power of First World War poetry in a moving afternoon of remembrance and reflection. Join us at Esher Library on Thursday 5th November at 2.30pm to enjoy an afternoon of poetry from the First World War with actresses Rachel Fielding and Madeline Smith for Remembrance Week. Rachel Fielding is an established film, television and theatre actress and her credits include 'Maigret' 'Take Me Home' 'Heartbeat' 'This Life' and appeared in the Oscar winning short film, 'The Silent Child'. Rachel has just completed a successful theatre run in 'Calendar Girls' at the Mill in Sonning. Madeline Smith is an established and celebrated film, television and stage actress, Her credits include 'The Amazing Mr Blunden', 'Why Didn't They Ask Evans', 'Theatre of Blood ' and 'Clochemerle'. Key information about booking: • The event starts at 2.30pm • Please purchase a ticket for each person attending; each ticket is £4. • Light refreshments provided. • Booking is essential, so be quick to avoid disappointment. • Please arrive 10 minutes early.
