Workshop | Re-viewing the Everyday: Cyanotype Lab 日常的異視界：藍曬實驗室

The workshop will be conducted in both Cantonese and English. 工作坊將會以廣東話及英語雙語進行。 Workshop Description 工作坊簡介 When everyday objects are stripped of their functional roles, light and shadow become their new language. Centred on the cyanotype process, this workshop invites you to place ordinary items, from keys, cutlery, and toothbrushes to translucent packaging, under UV light. Through ultraviolet catalysis and the rich oxidation of Prussian blue, we will break away from conventional perceptions of daily objects, reassembling mundane silhouettes into poetic, abstract compositions. No prior photography experience is required, simply bring your curiosity and everyday objects. *You will make one bookmark and one A4 piece after completing the workshop. 當日用品脫離原本的功能，光影便成為它全新的語言。本工作坊以藍曬為媒介，邀請你將身邊的日常物件，從鑰匙、刀叉、牙刷到透明包裝，透過紫外光的催化與普魯士藍的固化，打破對物件的既定認知，將平凡的日常線條重組成具詩意與抽象美的藍晒光影。無需任何攝影基礎，只需帶來你的好奇心與物件。 *你將會親自製作一張藍曬書籤及一張 A4 製成品。 Artist Bio 藝術家介紹 Riddick Douglas Ning is a visual artist and photographer holding an MA in Photography from the Royal College of Art (RCA), with over a decade of lecturing experience in higher education. Drawing inspiration from his immediate surroundings and personal experiences, his practice explores the possibilities of photography through diverse visual and technical experiments. 寧炫聲：視覺藝術家及攝影師，畢業於英國皇家藝術學院（RCA）攝影系碩士，曾任大專院校攝影系講師逾十年。其創作常以身邊的日常環境與切身感受為靈感，透過不同視覺及工藝實驗，探索攝影的可能性。 Workshop Guidelines & Safety 工作坊注意事項 1. Bring Your Own Objects 自備物件 Participants are encouraged to bring 5–10 small everyday items with interesting silhouettes, translucent textures, or geometric structures. 鼓勵攜帶 5–10 件具有有趣輪廓、半透明質感或幾何結構的日常小物。 2. Attire & Protection 衣物防護 Cyanotype chemicals may stain clothing; wearing dark, old clothes or bringing an apron is recommended. (Disposable gloves will be provided on-site.) 藍曬藥水可能會沾污衣物，建議穿著深色、舊衣物或自備圍裙。（現場將提供一次性手套） 3. Light Control 環境避光 The coating and preparation areas are kept in low light. Please do not use phone flashes or flashlights in these zones to prevent premature exposure. 塗布及備紙區為微光環境，請勿開啟手機閃光燈或手電筒，以免感光紙過早曝光。 4. Age Requirement 年齡限制 Suitable for ages 12 and above. Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. 本工作坊適合 12 歲或以上參加，16 歲以下之參加者須由家長陪同出席。
