In this retreat you will have an opportunity to drop deeply into your body’s intellegence, honouring the wisdom of the present moment which is all she knows. Family Constellations is an embodied process, we use the body to gauge what is going on for us. The body is the most useful tool we have to stay out of interpretation and truly tap into the unconscious. Phillip Shepherd in his book “Radical Wholeness” recognises the ways in which living in a culture that places more importance on the head, the thinking brain, disconnects us from our bodies. “Capita” is the latin for head, and we live in a Capitalist culture. By having our awareness mainly in the head, we can become disconnected from our bodies, which are the home of our hearts, and our soul. Because our bodies also house the blood, genes, dna and cells of our ancestors, listening to and moving into representation, we come into closer contact with the bodies of those we don’t know, who may have been missing or excluded from our families in some way. By acknowledging and reincluding those missing bodies in our ancestry, we become more whole, and consequently more at home in our own bodies. Please note that not everyone will have space to receive a personal constellation, however everyone will have an opportunity to look at their issue and to represent.
