Ida The Young live in the Living Room

Discover new artists with our new season of up close and personal gigs in the Living Room Ida The Young are an indie folk/electronica band based in Czech Republic. Their genre- blending instrumentation, in which they can go from acoustic folk to shattered drum machine sequences, provides a soundscape for London-born singer Iris Hobson-Mazur’s hypnotic vocals, delivering lyrics that tread the line between intimate, personal and complete fantasy. They have played over 200 shows all over Europe, including some of the biggest festivals in the Czech Republic and abroad, such as Colours of Ostrava, Sharpe Festival, Rock for People or MENT Ljubljana. The band is known for their eclectic, ever-changing live shows, often performing different versions of their songs depending on the venue and mood.
