Pumpkin Spiced Candle Making

It's October, which means it's time for a pumpkin spiced craft... It's that pumpkin spiced time of year again... Join Alex at Makerspace Hull for Pumpkin Spiced Candle making! Jesmonite is an increasingly popular artform for crafters and professionals alike! It is a non-toxic, waster-based composite material that can be quickly cast to make coasters, trinket dishes, and artwork - but did you know it can also be used to make candle holders? We have the perfect candle mould for the Autumn season, so join us to make a pumpkin spiced candle! This 2 hours session will include: • an introduction to Jesmonite and how it works • each participant will make a Jesmonite pumpkin candle holder • each participant will make atleast 1 Jesmonite tea light holder • participants will pour candles and choose to have them scented or unscented All materials will be provided, as well as tea & coffee and a tour of Makerspace Hull. All attendees must be aged 16+ Makerspace Hull is an arts and technology workspace hosted by Hull Central Library. Our space has state of the art manual, digital and electronic equipment, skilled staff providing support and workshops, as well as space to create, invent, explore, learn, think and exhibit. We're a self-led space where you can learn new skills or rediscover old ones with support from our team.
