Guided Bat Walk

Join us on a walk along the Averon River to learn more about bats and use technology that allows us to hear their ultrasonic sounds. Join us for a bat discovery evening in Alness! We'll be meeting at Averon River Park from 4pm, where we'll be using our echometer to detect the bats that use the area for foraging. We'll also show you how you can make your own recordings that help to provide important information to local biodiversity records and explain the important role they play in the ecosystem. Be sure to wrap up warm and wear weather appropriate clothing. Reflective items are always advised for an evening event for safety. The event will be weather dependent. Children will need adult supervision.
