Join us for Taigh Cèilidh Inbhir Pheofharain with Rachel Walker and Aaron Jones. Taigh Cèilidh is a relaxed, informal evening with music, song, conversation and refreshments. The event is fully acoustic, with the audience sitting around tables, giving it the atmosphere of a house cèilidh rather than a formal concert. Gaelic is at the heart of the evening, but fluent speakers, learners and those with little or no Gaelic are all very welcome. A local youth act will open the evening with a short set. We’ll finish with an informal session, so feel free to bring an instrument or a song and join in. Rachel Walker and Aaron Jones perform traditional and contemporary songs in Gaelic, Scots and English, combining sensitive arrangements, beautiful vocal harmonies and original songwriting. Their extensive touring across the UK, Canada and Ireland earned them a nomination for Folk Band of the Year at the 2023 Scots Trad Music Awards. Tickets are £15. Capacity is limited, so advance booking is recommended.
